    Offered is a stunning antique English brass ship's telegraph mounted on a gorgeous brass and mahogany base.  The body of the telegraph is in exceptional condition with age-appropriate patina and no pitting. The faces of the telegraph are clean and unblemished.  The handle of the telegraph moves freely and silently.The internal bell signals changes in position of the telegraph arm. The wiring has been updated and the socket is sound.  This rare maritime device is reminiscent of the authentic fixtures in the best seafood restaurants in Boston and New York along the eastern seaboard.  It makes a fabulous decorative statement for any seaside venue.  It would be incredible in a library, or a foyer, an office or anywhere one would acknowledge a love for the sea and its history.  The lamp is 36" tall (incl. shade and finial) and 15" in diameter.
